The ZH Center for Military Medical Ethics (CMME) is an academic research project and think tank based at the Center for Ethics of the University of Zürich.
The Center is a cooperation of the University of Zurich and the federal Centre of Competence for Military and Disaster Medicine (CC MDM). Its work is financed by the Swiss Confederation.
The CMME provides specific competences in applied ethics for the Swiss KSD (Koordinierter Sanitätsdienst), the Swiss Armed Forces Medical Services Directorate and the ICMM Centre of Reference for Education of IHL and Ethics.
The CMME is also responsible for the further development of the Ethics courses of the ICMM Center of Reference for Education of IHL and Ethics and the Scientific Programme of the Military Medical Ethics workshops series.
The Center for Military Medical Ethics is lead by Dr. Daniel Messelken.
